Highlights since 1975:
I am a veteran of two branches of service. U.S Army (1975-1983). I enlisted in May of '75 on delayed entry. I went to basic two days after my 18th birthday in November of '75, so I am a Vietnam-era Veteran.
In 1979 my oldest daughter was born in Korea.
In 1981 my son was born in Colorado Springs.
In 1983 my youngest daughter was born in Germany.
From 1997-2011, I enlisted in the Alaska Air National Guard. During that time I worked in private practice as an oral surgery tech and in the guard as well. I finally got all my credits together and got my Bachelor’s of Science in Occupational Education.
Between my father’s military service and my own, I have been around the world. My best place to be assigned was Mongolia.
Favorite high school memories:
My favorite teacher, Mrs. Donna McClure. She was my Accounting teacher. She was divine timing for me, because I was assigned to be a Stock Control and Accounting Specialist in the Army. She also selected me to give the Commencement Speech at graduation. It was the first speech of many I would make.
Not so favorite high school memories:
Imagine my surprise when I was notified I had two weeks of classes to make up before I could graduate because I had skipped them!! Funny now but it wasn’t then! I graduated with honors with my friends Dorinda, Helen, and Cindy. All is well that ends well.

Highlights since 1975:
Shortly after graduation in 1975, I joined the United States Marine Corps on 1 January 1976. I was assigned to the 4th Marines, Special Forces, Fleet Marine Force. I enjoyed my assignment for six years and received my Honorable Discharge in 1981. I moved to Pueblo, Colorado and worked at Summit Brick and Tile Company for many years before enlisting in the United States Air Force reserves as a civil engineer. I retired from the Department of Defense after 14 years as a Senior Master Sergeant (E-8) and Superintendent of Heavy Equipment in 2003.
I also worked 22 years with the Colorado Department of Corrections and retired in 2013 from the Sterling Correctional Facility as a Lieutenant. I went on and then worked at the Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo as a security officer for seven years. I am now fully retired collecting on two retirements and Social Security.
I am the proud father of four children. I have been with my new wife of 23 years and live in Pueblo West, Colorado. In a nutshell, I have been to Okinawa, Spain, England x2, Germany x2, Luxembourg and many, many states in the US. Life has been good for me with only a few knocks here and there.
I'm so sorry that we cannot attend the 50th year Salida High School reunion. Unfortunately my annual military unit (302d Civil Engineering Squadron) reunion is held on the same weekend at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. There, our comrades will be celebrating our friendship and memories of our service. Be safe and blessed.

Highlights since 1975:
When I tell people that I am a chemical engineer who specializes in powder handling and processing, they don't seem interested unless I mention that I am a co-inventor of a patented process for removing THC from marijuana. Then they want to know more. I've never touched the product or the starting material.
Several years ago, I started my own independent consulting company. I enjoy being self-employed although I don't get along with my boss. I am also an adjunct professor at the University of Rhode Island. I'm good with kids, as I have had 68 years of experience being one.
My philosophy is "Happiness equals Reality minus Expectations." Note that if the last term is larger than the second term, the first term is negative. I apply this equation to my consulting business. I make sure that I understand the reality of my client's problems; then I am able to exceed my clients' expectations, they'll be happy and pay me, and I can eek out a modest existence.
I've traveled to 27 different countries, 28 if I count California, which I'm convinced is no longer part of the USA. I once flew to Ahmedabad, India. It took me 26 hours to get there. I stayed twenty hours and then flew home. The highlight of my trip was that I saw a family of five on a motorcycle.
My wife Kelly (Williams, SHS Class of 1977 - yes, I married up!) has a masters in psychology and counseling and is a mental health therapist. We complement each other well --- I help her balance the checkbook and she helps me cross the street.
Kelly and I traveled to Bulgaria where we adopted our daughter Sidney. We took her from her orphanage on her second birthday. Sidney is Deaf. Kelly is a formally trained sign language interpreter; when we adopted Sidney, the only words of American Sign Language that I knew were the dirty ones. One year later, Kelly returned to Bulgaria with her sister, who adopted a 3-year old boy named Gabriel. His mother sadly passed away and he joined our family. We have two 32-year old children --- a long story, but you have the Cliff Notes.
We live in a small town outside of Boston that looks like a Norman Rockwell painting. Within the town limits are two golf course and a ski area. When people ask me if I miss skiing in Colorado, I tell them what I miss most of all is my parents paying for my lift ticket.
I drive a 1973 Volkswagen Thing. I still hate Mr. Breunich.
Favorite high school memories:
The student council announced that it would have a graffiti board across the hall from the principal's office for students to post. I placed a poster that read, "Reminder --- Sunday is Mother's Day. All girls who wish to become mothers should contact Greg Mehos." It wasn't my last visit to Mr. Ragan's office. He was particularly perturbed because I had written my poster on school stationery.

Highlights since 1975:
After high school I attended the University of Colorado in Boulder for both my undergraduate and graduate degrees in Business. I then went to work for Empire Savings in marketing where I met my husband Dennis. When Empire closed in 1987, we moved to St. Louis for a couple of years. We then moved to Virginia Beach where our two children were born. In 1999 we moved to Bucks County, Pennsylvania, and lived there for twenty years.
In 2016 we bought a house in a 55+ Active Community in Arizona so that we could spend the winters enjoying outdoor activities. Once our children were settled, Brendan in New York City and Kathleen in Denver, we sold our house in Pennsylvania and made Arizona our permanent residence. We had always planned on returning to Colorado, so in 2020 we bought a house in a 55+ Active Community in Aurora. We spend about half a year in each home.

My favorite memories include all my activities like Pompon, track, and Student Council.
Highlights since 1975:
After a couple years of college at Western State, I married my high school sweetheart and was swept off my feet by the Cable Telecommunications industry living and working in seven states for 44 years for Telecommunications, Inc. (TCI), Peak Cablevision (AT&T/TCI Partnership) finishing up with Comcast all through mergers in various management roles. Before I retired, I worked out of Comcast’s corporate office in Philadelphia while being allowed to office out of my home in Castle Pines. This was a great experience, and while I traveled and saw many of our locations from coast to coast, the traveling became a bit much, so I retired in September of 2021. During my years in the cable telecommunications industry, I served on a local regional Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers chapter as Treasurer and Board Member setting up and managing our annual symposium and golfing event for 12 years. In 2013, I was surprised and honored with the National SCTE “Member of the Year” award at our Atlanta, GA National conference.
Jill and I have one daughter (Denver Area) and a son (Owasso, Oklahoma), 9 grandkids and a dog (Sadie). We have spent our lifetime attending tennis, soccer, track and field, basketball and baseball games watching our children and grandchildren grow into young adults. Recently, Jill and I have started to travel both in our beautiful state of Colorado and to other locations throughout the US. Jill and I will be married 50 years in 2027, so we are currently planning an overseas adventure.
After 56 years of playing golf, this past April I got my first hole-in-one and I was lucky to only have to buy a couple hundred dollars of drinks to my golfing organization.

Highlights since 1975:
Received a B.S. degree in Business Administration - Management and Finance from CSU Ft. Collins
Moved to Westminster, Colorado after college working in the banking and real estate industries in different capacities from bank REO's in the 80's, mortgage lending - opened and managed four offices in the north metro Denver area, negotiated business acquisitions, opened three offices and managed the Boulder County operations for a title insurance company for 10 years, and enjoy selling real estate for the last 22 years including my real estate team of seven people. A few highlights include the coordination/negotiation of the Norwest Bank acquisition of United Bank of Colorado, the five year $82 milion project of land swaps, purchases, city approvals/rezoning/permits, and construction of the McData campus in Westminster, and most recently the acquisition of a supplier/distribution center/warehouse in Detroit by my wife's (Diana) fashion design/tailor business in Miami. The enjoyment of helping over 1700 families with their real estate needs has meant so much to me especially seeing the happiness in each of the faces at closing. My work has provided many joys but one of the best was in the 80's when I met, talked with, and enjoyed the insight of Ronald Reagan.
I had the most wonderful experience in the world, 26 and 27 years ago I delivered my daughters. Five years later I was divorced but found the enjoyment of raising these beautiful, intelligent, and adventurous daughters. We have traveled, camped the USA and Canada, skied, water skied, surfed Hawaii, Florida, and California, hiked eight Colorado 14ers, Switzerland, north Italy, Austria, Kaui, Canada (love Alberta and canoeing Lake Louise), and Peru (favorites Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley) (now Heather is an avid rock climber enjoying Europe and USA, I don't do this). I have enjoyed diving in Hawaii, Grand Cayman, Aruba, and the Blue Hole in Malta. I have been fortunate to travel the world twice and am currently planning my third trip with Diana. These travels have taken me to the headwaters of the Amazon at Leticia, Columbia where I explored this country for a month. Enjoyed the wonderful beaches of Hawaii, Maldives, Grand Cayman (my favorite), Cartagena, Aruba, and the French Riviera. I was in awe of the dancing Northern Lights and natural hot springs of Iceland. I learned about and how to love wine from exciting trips to the wine countries of California, Oregon, Colorado (yes, Palisade), and France. The best way to learn history is through travel as I have experienced in North America, Latin America, South American, Europe, and Africa.
Being involved with Denver Crimestoppers, the Suicide Help Line, and the Denver Archdiocese charities since the 80's has helped me to be grounded, to appreciate life, and the desire to take time to experience the world.

Friends, sports, woodsies, tubing the river and lakes, Ruth Pershbacher's birthday party/kegger - just about everyone in high school attended that one!
